DIY: Lip stain + Plumper. BONUS: It is YUMMY!

Posted by:

I love lip stain. My lips are virtually colorless so I NEED a little pick-me-up.
I also love a little plump in my pout. Who doesn’t?

Gloss can be a little high maintenance AND if you plan on doing any kissing gloss can be troublesome. I know many a husband/boyfriend who complain about it’s stickyness.

This little recipe is oh so friendly on the wallet. Sticky free and SUPER tasty.

Enjoy:

Recipe:
1 teaspoon Lemon Berry Drink Mix (these will run you 1 buck at wal-mart for a whole pack)
3 teaspoons Vaseline
sprinkle of water

Directions :
Mix the water and the drink mix together until the mix is completely dissolved, stir in Vaseline until smooth.

FYI it will tingle a bit for a few minutes when you put it on, that’s the lemon making your lips BIGGER!

Cheap, pretty, good tasting. A trinity of goodness.

I really want to do this but I can’t help but notice the pieces of kool aide on her lips in the picture. That just seems nasty to me, like having sand on your lips.

the water smooths out the koo laide, the red dot you see on my lips is always there. Birthmark or something….

I tried this…. I thought it was the best idea ever. It was TERRIBLE. all it did was turn the inside rim of my lips BRIGHT red like i had been drinking kool-aid all day. not to mention it was VERY grainy… just like sand, like someone else said. smelled and tasted great though.

Samantha, I am so sorry you had that problem. I should have been more clear about the instructions. You need to mix the water and the koolaide FIRST until the grains are all dissolved that will fix both of the problems you had. Again I am sorry I wasn’t more specific! Hopefully you will give it another try and have more success! Thanks for letting me know!

thanks for the idea! i tried this a few times and if you heat the water first it will dissolve the kool aid completey. i made this and added a few drops of peppermint extract. it is a natural lip plumper and it used as a main ingredient in most name brand lip plumpers.
